How does Protection Plus help you?

Protection Plus includes excess protection, which covers up to {{currency}} 1000 of your excess and substantially reduces your financial liability for any damage to the vehicle.

Excess protection covers theft, vandalism, and damage to the vehicle, including

  • The car’s bodywork
  • Roof
  • Undercarriage
  • Windscreen and other glass
  • Mirrors
  • Wheels
  • Tyres

Please note that Car Rental Companies will still hold a security deposit.

How to claim a refund?

If the vehicle is stolen, vandalised or damaged, you need to first pay the local Car Rental Company for damage and then you can claim a refund from Wisecars. Please let us know about the event by sending an email to as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours after your rental ends. We will help you with the refund process.
