Durango is a sparsely populated state in northwest Mexico, with terrain marked by forest, desert, and the Sierra Madre mountains. And Victoria de Durango is the capital city of Durango. In the capital, you can find the historic center. It is one of Mexico's finest and draws visitors with its parks, plazas, and charming colonial buildings. You will find there rivers and waterfalls, apart from green mountains and huge canyons. The first church built in Durango, the Cathedral of Durango began as an adobe parish church called San Mateo. Construction began in 1685 and continued until 1787.
