Larnaca lies on the southeastern coast of Cyprus, combining a long seafront with a historic center shaped by Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences. The city’s palm-lined Finikoudes promenade is a popular place for a walk beside the Mediterranean, with cafés, restaurants, and a sandy beach stretching along the waterfront. Nearby, the Church of Saint Lazarus stands in the old quarter and is one of Larnaca’s most important landmarks.

The coastline around the city offers plenty of opportunities for swimming and water sports, while the Larnaca Salt Lake becomes a seasonal home to large flocks of flamingos.
