Fort Walton Beach is a small city known for the Okaloosa fine white-sand beaches, Temple Mound Museum & Air Force Armament Museum. The city is a great destination for traveling families due to many kid-friendly attractions- the Emerald Coast Science Center, Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park and the dinasour-themed Wild Willy's Adventure Zone. Due to the picturesque vibrant sunsets, Fort Walton is also a great location for a romantic getaway. The Heritage Park and Cultural Center has multiple educational museums and explores the local history of the area. This beach town is a popular destination for snowbirds and summer vacationers.
